Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

You must tell your doctor urgently if you get: o severe diarrhoea with bleeding o blisters, redness or bruising of the skin o darker urine or paler stools o yellowing of the skin or the whites of the eyes jaundice.
See also anaemia below which might result in jaundice. These can happen when having the medicine or for up to several weeks after. Amoxicillin does not interact with dairy products like some of the other antibiotics.
